In this episode of Fundraising Radio, our guest Steve Shwartz provides advice around angel investing, how he does it, and how to receive it! Starting in 2000, Shwartz became an angel investor by joining Tango. He was the leader and board member until promoted to chief technology officer. In 2005, he joined the angel investor forum of Connecticut. And in 2009 he was included within New York’s Angle Investors. Shwartz and his Co-Founder of Device 42 then created a whole new technology company from scratch, eventually gathering their series A investments. Steve Shwartz preaches that there are three risks in which angel investors analyze before funding a company. The financial risk, the market risk, and the execution risk.
